Cleveland and many other cities in the Great Lakes Region were built on manufacturing. We made things here. Over the past several decades many of the manufacturing companies and jobs went to warmer climates or more business friendly regions or even overseas where the labor force was much less expensive. We became known as the Rust Belt.
From all the bad news you hear, you would think that manufacturing - in Cleveland, NEOhio, Ohio and even the US has been pretty much lost to China or other foreign economies.
Becky Morgan is an expert consultant and knows the manufacturing business. She knows that people have a need for "things" and that somebody has to make them. And, she says, there's no reason that somebody can't be in Northeast Ohio.
In this interview, Becky tells us what people, companies, and even the government can do to make the region a worldwide manufacturing leader.
