GCPCUG
The Greater Cleveland PC Users Group (GCPCUG) was established in 1982 as a place where IBM PC enthusiasts could gather. The group has evolved over the years and now "GCPCUG provides low-cost education and encouraging professional growth, our monthly General Meeting and SIG (Special Interest Group) meetings are open to the public. Topics cover current, emerging, and future technology.
Sample topics include software tips and tricks, Gadgets, Social Media strategies and even Ergonomics.
The general meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at Cleveland State University.
The Web Association
The Web Association "is an exciting nonprofit professional organization built upon the prior success of the Cleveland Chapter of the Association of Internet Professionals (AIP). The Web Association has roots as one of Northeast Ohio's oldest and most respected professional associations.
Our mission is to serve as a professional technology organization for the Northeast Ohio Internet and Business communities, offering an open forum, education, mutual support and networking opportunities to stimulate business growth."
Chris Serger, president of the Web Association, explains the organization and who would/should be interested.
The Web Association gets around 100 or so professional to their monthly lunch meetings. They cover a variety of Internet, Social Media and Marketing topics.
DMA Cleveland is the Cleveland Chapter of the Direct Marketing Association.
Their tagline is "Marketing with Focus" and they cover a wide array of marketing topics from the traditional (direct mail) to the latest Internet strategies.
