What about Rush? Or KISS? Or a number of different bands that have not made it into the hallowed halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum? These are the questions that Terry Stewart, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Joel Peresman, President of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation get the most from passionate fans. The pair explained the selection process and other features of the Rock Hall at a Corporate Club at Landerhaven luncheon.

Channel 5 news anchor Lee Jordan served as Moderator for the event and proclaimed that "Rock is more than a leather jacket.It sure has meant a lot to Cleveland. Terry Stewart said that the Rock Hall has been more effective in bringing people to Cleveland than anticipated. Early projections were for $10-20 million per year but today over $100 million per year is brought in to Cleveland because of the Rock Hall. Throw in another $10-15 million during the years when the inductions are held in Cleveland, like 2012. 90% of the visitors come from outside the region - all 50 states and 100 countries.

An upcoming new feature will make the entire downtown area a tourist destination. It's called the Walk of Fame. There will be plaques of the 270 (and counting) inductees of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame placed on sidewalks throughout downtown Cleveland. Fans will seek out their favorites for photos. Joel Peresman jokingly wondered which will be stolen first.

If there is an area that is lacking, it's the lack of a big promotion at the airport.
